DAMN GLAD (formerly known as IMMORAL FIBRES) PERFORMS AT WOODSTOCK '99. Hailing from the Woodstock area, single/guitarist/songwriter Matt Kurzban is at the helm of the NYC based quartet. Driving guitars, catchy songs and hook, line and sinker melodies set them apart from the masses. Immoral Fibres performed at Woodstock '99 in Rome, NY on July 22nd with a handful of unsigned groups. Damn Glad has a definitive soulful rock style. This Manhattan based group have produced a high quality cd that should garner considerable attention if the right people hear it.All three songs were composed by vocalist/guitarist Matt Kurzban and he has apparently been to the right schools for it. There are hooks galore, the melodies are catchy and he's very competent lyricalist. The rhythm section of Glenn Berino and Robert Cuevas on bass are completely in-sync with Kurzban's impressive guitar playing throughout. A discerning ear might be inclined to mark "River Ego" as a good first single, that's where clever lyrics and exciting musicianship find the closest unity.
