If modern rock radio is beginnig to irritate your eardrums, well, it's your own darn fault. Stop buying in to the homogenized "adulternative" trend set by the Big Five major record labels, and turn your ear towards DAMN GLAD (formerly known as immoral fibres). If you get into the Joyous Lake this Saturday, you'll see the dynamic pop-rock quartet before they blw up on the the FM band and become the working model for the next new wave of music. Call it milleni-alternative-edgy, soulful, rock coneived in a womb of melody, mainstream pop without sacrificing emotion.

Damn Glad is currently based in New York City, though lead singer Matt Kurzban originally hails from Woodstock. His first Woodstock gig with DAMN GLAD was earlier this year, when the band sizzled all over the stage on a cold February night at the Joyous Lake. The band's return performance will no doubt be a bit more crowded and quite a bit sweatier than before, with higher temperatures and a more kinetic audience. In pushing around their latest four-song demo CD, the band has been getting increased radio airplay (100.1 WDST and 92.7 WRRV among the stations) and February's sweatless spectators will become June's dancing die-hard fans. Song after song contain some of the catchiest choruses and infectious instrumentation to hit local radio - Damn Glad craft songs that are just begging for you to sing along.
