I would strongly recommend you see this band based solely on their demo's first track, "All Made Up." Booming with big rock beats and a distrotd edge, the band instantly commands attention from a vastly diverse audience that runs the gamut from aggro-rockers of gen-X to the adulternative crowd that is in explicably pushing Matchbox 20 and the Goo Goo Dolls up the charts. Damn Glad are here to answer your cries of, "I want something else to get me through this semi-charmed, emotionally void and utterly bland kind of life."The lead song is a catchy pop rock tune on disc, and I can only imagine how many ears will be caught on the song's harsh chorus hook when it is performed. The ocean of new listeners that will undoubtedly pack into the Joyous Lake like sardines this Saturday, June 12, will be quite a catch for this relatively new and positively fresh band. Damn Glad will take the stage at 10, simultaneously infecting the crowd with their signature sound and psyching fans up for Columbia recording artist Splender.
It's worth mentioning that Splender is headlining this small tour in support of their brand new release, Halfway Down The Sky. In concert, the band's intensive power rock is not to be missed and a brilliant compliment to the emotionally potent music of Damn Glad. -Zac Shaw
